I wanted to share this fix that has caused me issues in the past, but now I have a fix for it.
Problem
Typing in www.google.com in your browser comes back with an error or 404 not found.
Solution
You can try to type www.google.com in any browsers that may be on your PC, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc., etc, all return with error 404. You can update your virus definitions, perform a virus scan, malware scan and reboot. Nothing seems to help. So here is the solution. You need to
click here to save and run this free utility. This free and very powerful program will release and reset your IP address, it will also clear your DNS and host file. Once you download the file, just run it. It will prompt you a couple of times, but just follow the directions and your PC will reboot once it is done. Once your PC reboots, you should be able to go to Google.com again. Please email me at
virusfixed@gmail.com if this does not work for you and I will attempt to find you a solution.

Listed below are some of the names that a Windows 7 name changing rogue will randomly use when installing on your PC. This fake program pretends to be a security update and will install automatically. It will modify your Windows Registry keys which will launch the program instead of your Internet browser. For example if you double click on your Internet browser icon it will start Windows 7 Home Security or one of the names below and a fake firewall warning:
Win 7 Anti-Virus
Win 7 Anti-Virus 2011
Win 7 Anti Spyware
Win7 Anti-Spyware 2011
Win 7 Home Security
Win 7 Home Security 2011
Win 7 Total Security
Win 7 Total Security 2011
Win 7 Security
Win 7 Security 2011
Win 7 Internet Security
Win Internet Security 2011

Do not register this program because it is fake. Do not give them your credit card number or you may be victim of identity theft. Do not try and use this program because it will not work. Do not manually try to remove any of the files listed as infected because your PC will not boot properly.
If your PC is infected by this program you need to contact me as soon as possible for removal assistance.
